In this blog post, I’ll be sharing some tips on how to optimize your email marketing strategy to boost organic traffic.



1. Diversify Your Approach


Email marketing is a long-term strategy; don’t expect immediate results. You need to approach it like a growing business: slowly expand your customer base, improve your product, and build your reputation over time. If you put all your efforts into one marketing tactic, and it doesn’t work, you don’t have many other options. This is why diversifying your marketing efforts is the key to success.


How can you diversify your approach to get the best results?


  • Use different formats to reach different target audiences: try videos, infographics, audio, and more!
  • Use different content types to reach different target audiences: use educational content for B2B businesses and more promotional content for B2C companies
  • Use different channels to reach different target audiences: leverage social media platforms that best suit your audience’s preferences (e.g., Facebook vs Instagram)


2. Personalize Your Emails


Email personalization is the process of tailoring the content of an email to the specific needs and interests of the individual recipients. By using data such as the recipient’s name, location, and past purchase history, businesses can create more targeted and relevant email campaigns that are more likely to resonate with the individual recipients. While email personalization can be a powerful tool to improve the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns, it is important to use it judiciously and not overuse it, as it can come across as intrusive and unwelcome.              



Email personalization is a hot topic in the email marketing world. And for good reason! According to GetResponse (2022 Email Marketing Benchmarks by GetResponse), personalized emails have been shown to deliver higher open rates, click-through rates, and conversions than generic emails. Below are some tips to personalize your emails:


  • Use the customer’s name in the subject line.
  • Personalize your emails based on location, interests, and purchase history. If you’re sending an email to someone who lives in New York City, why not include an image of Times Square? Or if someone has purchased one of your products before, offer them something new that might be relevant to what they just bought! You could even include coupons or money-saving information in those emails as well.


3. Write Killer Subject Lines and Preheader Text


Your email subject line and preheader text are another way to boost click-through rates. When readers see your email in their inbox, they usually only see the subject line and the preheader text before they decide to open the email or delete it. Make your subject line catchy, relevant, and compelling and you’ll get more people to open and click through on your emails. The preheader text is a great place to add a few more details about your email and to provide more value to your readers.



To write a killer subject line, you need to keep your audience in mind. What are they interested in? What do they care about? Do they have certain keywords that they use frequently when searching on Google, and if so, what are those keywords?



Once you know who your audience is and what their interests are, it’s time to write a compelling email subject line. The best way to do this is by using an intriguing question or statement that gets people engaged with your content before they even open the email. This will encourage them to click on the link provided in order to read more of what you have to say!



The next step is making sure that everything else about your email matches up with its subject line: be sure that it’s short (50 characters max), personal (addressing the recipient by name), relevant (including information about how this particular piece of content relates back towards one of their previous searches) but most importantly engaging enough so as not to turn people off from reading since no one likes boring things when there could be excitement happening elsewhere!



4. Craft Compelling CTAs (Call to Action)


Your call-to-action (CTA) is the button or link at the end of your emails that tells readers how they can take the next step. A good CTA should be short and to the point, clearly stating what the recipient needs to do next. Make sure your CTAs are actionable and relevant to the content of your email.



Use actionable verbs such as “Order Now” “Get Started Today” or “Buy NOW!” instead of vague terms like “Learn More.”



5. Draft Mobile-Friendly Mails


Mobile-friendly emails are a must in today’s world. With over half of all emails being opened on mobile devices, it’s important to make sure your email looks good on a small screen. Here are some tips for creating mobile-friendly emails:


  •       Don’t send emails with large file sizes as they take too long to load.
  •       Keep your emails short and to the point. In general, keep your emails under 500 words.
  •       Use mobile-friendly templates.
